Kids & Youth Boxing Gloves — Built on a Junior Pattern
A youth glove is not an adult glove scaled down. The hand is shorter, the grip is weaker and the strap has to be manageable by a child — or by a coach with thirty of them to get on.

Why junior sizing is its own pattern
Scaling an adult pattern down gives a glove that looks right and fits badly: the grip bar lands in the wrong place, the wrist is too long and the thumb sits away from the hand.
Tell us the age bracket your range serves and, if you have them, a reference pair. Youth sizing varies widely between brands, so matching a pair your customers already accept is the safest brief.
Padding and protection
Children hit softer but train just as often, and a parent or an academy is buying protection first. Describe the padding behaviour you want and the level the gloves are for.
Where the gloves are for a class rather than an individual, say so — shared gym stock is put on and pulled off many times a day and that changes what we recommend for the closure and lining.
Closure a child can manage
A strap a child cannot fasten alone is a glove the coach ends up fastening thirty times. Strap length, pull-tab size and wrist wrap are set with that in mind and confirmed on the sample.
