From sample to bulk: how a custom order runs
What happens between your first email and a box of finished gis or rash guards at your door, with the timelines and terms we actually work to.

A custom order at Combatwear Factory runs in six steps: you send a brief; we reply within one business day; we make a physical sample in 7–10 working days (the fee is typically USD 100–200 and is credited against your bulk order); you approve it; we produce the bulk order in 20–30 working days; and we ship DDP to your address, typically 5–7 days from dispatch.

Step 1: Send a brief
Tell us the product, the quantity per design and your size split, the fabric or weave you want, your artwork and where it goes, labels and packaging, and your target delivery date. A tech pack helps, but a reference garment or clear photos also work.
Step 2: Get a quotation
We reply within one business day with questions or a quotation that confirms fabric and weight, construction, branding, minimum order, sample fee, lead time and the delivered price.
Minimums are 30 pieces per design for gis, spats, rash guards, shorts and martial arts uniforms, 100 for belts and patches, and 20 pairs per order for gloves. Sizes can be mixed within a design.
Step 3: Approve a physical sample
Samples take 7–10 working days (gloves: 7 working days). The fee is typically USD 100–200 per sample, depending on the product and specification, and it is credited against your bulk order.
Before the physical sample, you get a free digital mockup to check placement, colors and labels. Judge the sample the way your customers will use it: on a real body, against your size chart and after a wash.
Step 4: Confirm the order
Bulk production starts from the approved sample. Payment is 100% in advance with order confirmation, by Western Union, PayPal or Alibaba. We sign an NDA on request, and your designs stay exclusive to you.
Step 5: Bulk production and quality control
Bulk production takes 20–30 working days after sample approval (gloves: 20 working days). Every order is checked for fabric, GSM and weight, sizing and measurements, stitching and construction, print and embroidery, and a final inspection.
Step 6: DDP delivery to the US
We ship by DHL, FedEx or UPS on DDP terms: export documents, freight and import duty to your delivery address are arranged by us. Transit is typically 5–7 days from dispatch.
