Boxing headgear sample checklist
On the headgear sample, check the style you ordered (open face, cheek protection or nose bar), that vision is clear when the head moves, and that the chin strap, crown and rear adjustment keep it still in sparring. Check padding depth at the temple, cheek and forehead against your reference piece.
Confirm size range markings, logo placement and the colorway match with your gloves before bulk.
Decide the coverage
Open face gives vision and is what most competition rules expect. Cheek protection and nose-bar styles give more cover and suit heavy sparring. These are different patterns, not different sizes.
Tell us which styles your range covers, and if the headgear must satisfy a particular federation or promotion, send that ruleset with the brief so the sample is built to it.
Fit and how it stays on
Headgear that moves during a round is headgear a gym replaces. The chin strap, the crown closure and the rear adjustment together decide whether it stays put.
Say whether the headgear is for individual fighters or shared gym stock, and whether one size range or several.
Padding and vision
Padding depth around the temple, cheek and forehead is a trade against vision. Describe the sparring level your customers train at and we advise on the balance, then confirm it on the sample.
Send a reference piece where you have one; coverage and vision are assessed by wearing it.
Colorways and branding
Headgear is usually ordered in a gym colorway alongside gloves. Send one color reference and the artwork with placements marked.

Can headgear be made to a federation's rules?
Send the ruleset with your brief and the sample is built to it, rather than corrected after the first round of sampling.
Can headgear match our gloves?
Yes. One color reference is applied across the gloves and the headgear so a gym's kit reads as a set.
