A heavy bag is judged on two things a photograph cannot show: whether the filling settles into a hard lump at the bottom, and whether the straps outlast the bag.
Combatwear Factory manufactures custom punching and heavy bags to a buyer specification. Size, shape, covering, seam reinforcement, hanging/anchor system, filling plan, logo placement and export configuration are agreed before sample or production approval.
Punching bag sample checklist
On the punching bag sample, check the finished height, diameter and weight against your specification, how the filling settles after use, the strength of the stitching at the top and around the hanging points, and the chains or straps. A heavy bag fails at the top seam first.
Confirm logo size and position on the cover, color, and how each bag is packed and labelled for shipping before bulk.
Size, weight and what it is for
Tell us the length and the filled weight your range needs, and whether the bags are for a commercial gym floor, a home range or a retail line. A bag that lives in a busy gym and one that hangs in a garage are specified differently.
Send a reference bag if you have one — dimensions are easy to write down, but how a bag feels through a round is not.
Covering and stitching
Specify the covering you want the range built in, or describe the durability and price point you are targeting and we come back with options.
Seams and stress points are where a bag fails first. Tell us the training volume the bags will see and we specify the reinforcement to it.
Filling and how it settles
Bags fill differently and settle differently over a season. Tell us whether the bags ship filled or unfilled, and what you want inside them if filled.
Unfilled bags cut freight cost dramatically on an export order, which is worth considering before you decide.
Hanging, wall mounts and branding
Chain, strap, swivel or wall bracket — each suits a different installation. Say which your range uses and whether the fittings ship with the bag.
Send your artwork and colorway; bag panels are one of the most visible branding surfaces in any gym.
