Product focusKarate Uniform Manufacturer

Combatwear Factory manufactures custom karate uniforms for dojos, teams and brands. The brief defines kumite/kata/training use, fabric and weight target, cut, sleeve/trouser proportions, reinforcement, embroidery, labels and sizing; the physical sample is approved before bulk.

How a karate gi differs from a judo gi

Karate is a striking art, so the gi is built for fast arm and leg movement rather than grip resistance. Kumite gis use lighter fabric and a freer cut so punches and kicks are not slowed down. Kata gis use heavier fabric for a crisp “snap” on each technique. A judo gi, by contrast, needs a thick collar and a heavy jacket to survive throws.

For WKF-style competition, athletes usually wear a white karate gi and a red or blue belt for each bout. If your gis are for a federation or event, send its current uniform rules with the brief; the approved sample is the production reference.

Kumite or kata weight

Karate gis split by use: lighter kumite gis for speed and movement, heavier kata gis for a crisp snap and presence. Choose the weight and cut your market expects.

Record the size range across your students or retail sizing.

Cut and fabric

Specify the fabric and the traditional or modern cut, and where reinforcement matters. Share your reference gi so grading matches.

Fit and fabric are confirmed on the sample before bulk.

Branding and style

Add dojo labels, embroidery and any style lines to placement. Confirm any federation rules if the gis are for graded events.

Complete the brief with quantities, sizes and packing.

Design your own karate uniform

Choose the fabric (cotton or poly-cotton) and weight, the cut your style needs, and the color. Add your dojo name or logo by embroidery or patches, and give us your size range.

We make a physical sample for you to check fit and embroidery, then produce the bulk order from the approved sample.
