MMA gloves live or die on the open palm: the hand has to grip, post and clinch while the knuckle stays protected. That balance is set on the sample, not on a drawing.
Combatwear Factory manufactures custom MMA gloves with buyer-specified open-palm/finger construction, closure, padding feel, outer material, sizing and branding. A reference glove or detailed brief is used to develop the physical sample before bulk production. The confirmed glove minimum is 20 pairs for the order as a whole; samples take 7 working days and bulk production takes 20 working days after approval.
Specification points to lock before a glove sample
For MMA gloves, confirm intended use, target weight/feel, outer material preference, closure, wrist length, hand compartment, thumb construction and padding behaviour. A reference pair is especially useful because glove fit and balance are difficult to define from marketing terms alone.
Confirm logo method and position, lining, labels, pair packaging and any retail box requirements. The physical sample should be checked for symmetry, closure alignment, hand fit, stitching, branding and the agreed feel before bulk production.
Decide what the glove is for
Sparring, bag work, training and competition gloves are different products with different padding and different finger construction. Tell us which of them your range covers, and whether one pattern should serve more than one use.
If you are building a first range, start with the use case your customers train in most. It is easier to add a second glove to an approved pattern than to design three at once.
Palm, fingers and grip
The open palm is where an MMA glove is judged. Say how open you want it, how the finger loops or segments should sit, and whether the thumb is attached, semi-attached or free.
Send a reference pair if you have one. Grip and hand position are felt rather than measured, and matching a pair you already like removes several sampling rounds.
Padding, closure and wrist
Describe the knuckle padding you expect and how much wrist support the glove should give. Strap length and the wrist wrap pattern are confirmed against your reference and locked on the sample.
Where a specification has to satisfy a particular promotion or ruleset, send that ruleset with your brief so the sample is built to it rather than corrected afterwards.
Materials, branding and packing
Specify the outer material and lining for the range, or describe the feel and price point you are targeting and we will come back with options.
Artwork, logo placement, inner branding, labels, hang tags and cartons are all part of the same brief. Send them together so the first sample is close to the finished product.

Yes. Send your artwork with the placements marked; the application method is chosen to suit the outer material and the order size.
Can I get a sample before placing a bulk order?
Yes. We recommend approving a sample in your own hands before any bulk production starts.
Do you ship MMA gloves to the United States?
Yes. Orders ship DDP by DHL, FedEx or UPS, typically 5–7 days from dispatch, and export documents, freight and import duty to your US address are arranged by us.
What materials are the MMA gloves made from?
Materials are sourced to your preference: the outer material, padding and lining are agreed in your quotation and confirmed on the physical sample before bulk.
