Shin guard sample checklist
On the shin guard sample, wear the pair through pad work: check that the guard covers the shin to the length you specified, that the instep stays in place on a kick, and that the sleeve or straps hold without sliding. Check padding against your reference pair and look at stitching at the instep join, which takes the most stress.
Confirm size markings, logo position, the colorway against your gloves, and packing (pairs in one bag) before bulk.

How far the guard runs up the shin and whether it wraps the instep are the first decisions. A Thai-style guard with a full instep and a slim karate guard are different products, not variants.
