Focus mitt sample checklist
On the focus mitt sample, hold the mitts through a full pad round: check the curve catches hooks the way your coaches want, that the grip bar and wrist strap are comfortable after long use, and that the striking surface keeps its shape. Check stitching around the rim, which takes every punch.
Confirm the pair packing, logo size on the face and the colorway match with your gloves before bulk.

Curve determines what the mitt is for. A flatter mitt suits straight punching and beginners; a deeper curve catches hooks and suits faster pad rounds.

A focus mitt is held in the hand for punches; a Thai pad is strapped to the forearm to take kicks. Most gyms buy both, and they are quoted together.
